We’ve ported the current website functionality to Joomla for Content Management and WordPress for Discussion Management. As well as moving data to MySQL running on a Ubuntu server.
Now as exciting as this may sound .. we’re also linking the “old” site to the “new” site with a new cloud based “future” site !! lol
All this means is that all versions of our site – all available at all times for all users ! – will share information. If not share then they will be synchronised within 20 minutes.
For the techies out there – think SQL Azure, Cloud, OpenID, Semantic Web, Web 3.0 … it’s all going on here at “wheresmydad Towers” and we’re a few steps ahead of the crowd :)
